Notice to Pyramid Visa Card Holders
Change in Visa Foreign Currency Transactions
Please be advised that Visa International is changing the method that will be used to convert transactions made in foreign countries or initiated in a foreign currency into U.S. dollars.
Effective April 2, 2005, agreements governing Visa branded credit and debit cards are amended to include the following provisions. This change replaces existing provisions in agreements concerning transactions made in foreign countries or initiated in foreign currency and supplements agreements that do not contain such provisions.
Purchases, cash withdrawals, and cash advances made in currencies other than U.S. dollars will be converted to and billed to you in U.S. dollars under the regulations established by VISA International. We do not determine the currency conversion rate which is used. The conversion rate to U.S. dollars will be 1) a rate selected by Visa from the range of rates available in wholesale currency markets for the applicable central processing date, which rate may vary from the rate Visa itself receives, or 2) the government-mandated rate in effect for the applicable central processing date, in each instance, plus or minus any adjustment determined by the Issuer. Conversion to U.S. dollars may occur on a date other than the transaction date; therefore, the currency conversion rate may be different than the rate in effect at the time of the transaction. You agree to pay the converted amount.
